Abstract
Organizations manage, maintain infrastructure and contribute to society by providing employment and essential goods and services to communities. Events, such as unexpected or unplanned major hazardous incidents, natural disasters causing infrastructural damage and deliberate attacks on an organization including crime threats impact on the ability of organizations to continues to function. A significant challenge to achieve this goal lies within the complexity of organizations and the ever-changing context within which they operate (Stephenson et al, 2010:1).
